“A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.” -Henry Brooks Adams. Luis Salgado’s desire to make a positive difference, and leave his footprint on the world, began when he opened his own studio in Puerto Rico 13 years ago.
Beginning with only 7 students, his school quickly expanded as his commitment to inspiring and empowering his dancers became more and more evident. In just 5 short years, he produced six shows and 7 students became 250! Today, Luis’s infectious spirit and his wealth of knowledge about the musical theater, film, and television industries, has led him to teach all over the country.

Luis is a Guest Teacher at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway and a few years participated teaching workshops and master classes for The Pulse joining the faculty of renowned choreographers such as Mia Michaels, Tyce Diorio, Wade Robson,

and others. Has also teach for Broadway Classroom, Tezoro Productions, Associated Dance Teachers of New Jersey, DanceFest 2010, 2011, 2014 and Dance Attack.

Internationally, Luis has taught in Mexico, Japan, D1 Dance in Peru and musical
theatre workshops in Cali, Colombia. He has coached choreographer Andy
Blankenbuehler, Will Wingfield (“So You Think You Can Dance”), Corbin Bleu (“High School Musical”), and the entire Broadway, Off-Broadway, and Touring companies of In the Heights.

In the hopes of influencing and empowering others (affecting eternity), Luis also
teaches in communities in need throughout the 5 boroughs of NY through R.Evolución Latina’s educational programs.
