Nominations were announced Monday, May 2, 2016 for the 2016 Fred and Adele Astaire Awards, which will take place Monday, May 16, 2016 at the Skirball Center

Luis Salgado has been nominated for a 2016 Fred and Adele Astaire Award in the category of Best Male Dancer for his work on the Broadway musical On Your Feet!: The Story of Gloria and Emilio Estefan. In addition, the company of On Your Feet! received a nomination for Outstanding Ensemble in a Broadway Show. Luis won his first Drama Desk Award and the ACCA (Actors’ Equity Association) Award in 2007 for Outstanding Ensemble Performance on In The Heights and has been honored also as Gypsy of the Month by Broadway World  and 2009 Grand Marshal of NY Dance Parade.
